In their new book, This Side of the Hill: Poetic Maps of Our Neighborhoods, members of 826 Boston’s Youth Literary Advisory Board (YLAB) share pieces about their colorful, complicated, and changing relationships with Boston neighborhoods. In their poems and essays, the student authors explore issues of spatial justice, gentrification, and what it means to call a place home.
Alondra Bobadilla, Boston’s inaugural Youth Poet Laureate, and Collin Knight, Live Like a Tourist Founder, authored the book’s two forewords.
